ABS Escape 50 (40+10) tour pack
[ABS Escape 50 (40+10) to]

 $1,005.00

Untitled document Watch skiers and snowboarders get caught in avalanches and live to tell about it!

This video also demonstrates how it is possible to survive many avalanches using the Avalanche Airbag System. Great footage for any skier or snowboarder to watch not only because of the great action, but also for your avalanche knowledge. Watching avalanches is a great way to learn more and get a "feel" for how avalanches happen and what happens during an avalanche and The Gear Shack recommends this video in hopes that the knowledge serves you well. As you will see in the video, using the ABS is so effective that users might get a false sense of security. All the knowledge in the world can't help you if you won't stay out of areas you should know are dangerous. When in doubt, you can simply stay out. You should never knowingly be in an area that could be unsafe and knowing how to use your safety equipment in a frantic moment can save your life. The Avalanche Airbag System is merely one more protective measure you have available to you. Practice actually using, in an emergency simulation, all of your avalanche gear with anyone you are considering skiing with. Know how to use it. The avalanche Air Bag System is designed for easy emergency release, with a large, easy to grab handle that requires very little pressure to release. It is positioned in an easy to reach yet out of the way location on the left shoulder strap. If you are unable to reach the release handle because of being washed up in snow, it is likely that it could get removed from being pulled, layed on and rolled over, etc.
